Is No Man's Sky Vr Only
Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces with no loading screens and no limits.
Is no man's sky vr only. No Mans Skys VR implementation is not a separate experience its the full game completely playable in virtual reality. Pick No Mans Sky from the list. Its quite possibly the most gorgeous visually stunning game Ive seen in VR and Ive played a lot of games.
That said No Mans Sky in VR is unfortunately a serious performance hog. There are still some issues most notably with frame rates but on the whole the game delivers an incredible virtual reality experience and is a must-buy for fans of VR gaming. Ive tried setting my settings to the lowest possible but that did little to nothing I am using the quest 2 with Virtual Desktop I also have SSW on at 120 fps medium graphics and 100MBPS Ill list my specs below.
This is the only vr game I have a problem with. I just got No Mans Sky on steam with the intent to play it in VR as soon as I got in I immediately noticed the stuttering and the lag. For more on how we arrived at this score.
Perhaps VR could be just the thing to get No Mans Sky back on the radar. Here is a link to the No Mans Sky VR Announcement. Anything possible in No Mans Sky NEXT or any other update is ready and waiting as an immersive and enriched VR experience.
The game first came to PC gamers then console players and as always virtual reality got the last installment of the game. This review is specifically focused on the PC version using an Oculus Rift S. Go to Settings towards the lower right hand side.
Its different in a good way though. Only thing Id ever switch back to flat version for is because the build limit in VR is extremely small its like a small room with maybe 10 objects in it and you reach the build limit it seems to be roughly per every 70ft so the only way to get stuff built in vr is to either build a lot of small structures spaced apart or go back to flat screen and do all the building there. No Mans Sky Beyond has finally brought VR to the space-faring adventure and performance issues aside theres plenty of reason to check it out if you have either a PSVR or SteamVR headset.
