How to polish stainless exhaust tips. Here I am using Optimum Metal Polish and 0000 steel wool on the insides of the tips. Take the steel wool and begin to. Try any commercially prepared metal polish and it should do the trick.
CMA sells a product called Luster Lace its great for polishing stainless exhaust tips. I now have a PCXP. The Luster Lace is a 40cm 16 lace which has been drowned in polish material.
It is basically long fabric strips that are impregnated with polish. Apply some of the metal polish directly onto the exhaust tips if you are using Autosol just squeeze some directly out of the tube onto the tip. Make sure that you use a bucket and microfiber cloth that you dont plan on using for a normal car wash.
Rinse thoroughly and the contaminants will be blasted away. Cleaning Your Exhaust Tips is as Easy as 1-2-3-4 Once you choose your new exhaust tip youll want to make sure you know how to clean and properly maint ain it in order to keep it looking its best. Wipe clean and do it again with a fine grit polish - again by hand.
Your exhaust tips are now clean but if you want to take them to the next level I recommend polishing them up a bit both inside and out. Use steel wool for very dirty exhaust tips. Clean the stainless steel exhaust with a trisodium phosphate cleanser using steel wool.
You wont need too much of the product to get a good finish so dont go overboard with it. The principle is to put the lace once preferably twice around your exhaust pipe and then move the ends back and forward. Spray yours on liberally over the whole tip.
